Hi I’m Sami.

I’m currently designing for Bounteous out of Virginia Beach, VA.

I'm a native of Virginia Beach, a graduate of Virginia Tech, and an aspiring adult person. An artist by trade and a designer by lack of trust fund; I love to create… something out of nothing, joy in other people, but most notably… hearty soups.

My love of design has always been in the communication. I love to listen to clients’ stories and passions; to work together to discover their problems and find solutions that far exceed expectations. I think that design has an incredible ability to make people feel seen and heard. That’s the magic.

Philosophy on life from an aspiring adult person

1. No opportunity to use a revolving door should go un-ventured.
Life is short and if we aren’t here to enjoy it’s simple pleasures, like revolving doors and serendipitously worn inside-out shirts, then what’s the point. You gotta live like you’re young so you never grow old. Laugh at life, it’s hilarious.

2. The internet knows everything… and I never will, so it doesn’t hurt to ask.
There is so much we don’t know, it’s insane. So to say I know everything would be insane. The curiosity to question is the only way to truly innovate; to challenge the status quo. Inspiration is everywhere we just have to keep looking for it and never stop asking what if.

3. Anyone can be a pink starburst.
People are the world’s greatest asset, and they should be celebrated. I believe the only limitations we have are the ones we create. So why not make people believe they can do anything? Cause who knows, they just might; and imagine how cool that would be. So cool. Everyone has something to give, sometimes they just need help realizing what that something is. I believe in people.
